Our Mission
Our mission is to effectively address three of the most significant issues in healthcare today: access to quality care, rising costs and portability of medical records.
- Access to care. When your doctor isn’t available, call TelaDoc. Our physicians are available 24/7/365. The average response time from the moment a member requests a consult is 23 minutes, and membership comes with a "three hours or it's free" guarantee. Compare this to unnecessary hours spent in an emergency room, or the days waiting for a doctor or specialist appointment. By providing telephone access, members get the care they need, when and where they need it—from their home, office, hotel, or wherever they may be.
- Rising Costs. TelaDoc offers a cost-effective way to deliver quality care at a fraction of the cost of an average emergency room or doctor’s visit. It is a qualified expense for HSA, FSA and HRA accounts and allows members to save the money they have in these accounts for other medical expenses. What’s more, members don’t have to take a whole or half day from work waiting in a doctor’s office or emergency room, so it has a positive impact on cost for both employers and employees.
- Portability of Health Records. At TelaDoc, we believe that patients should have access to their electronic health record (EHR) any time, from anywhere. They should also be able to share this information with their other healthcare providers to ensure the best quality and coordinated care. That is why the TelaDoc membership includes a free, EHR that members own, and can take with them wherever they go regardless of whether they change jobs, doctors or locations.
At TelaDoc, we believe we are having a positive impact on the practice of medicine, our nation’s economy and the health status of all those who utilize our services. Many physicians are taking the opportunity to serve patients via telephonic visits...employers and individuals are accessing quality care at lower costs…and people are enjoying improved access to care. We will continue to work toward addressing and helping to solve some of today’s most pressing healthcare issues.
