  • Jason Gorevic

    Chief Executive Officer

    A prominent health care business executive, Gorevic became CEO of Teladoc in 2009. During his career, he has pioneered the development of innovative healthcare services which evolved into mainstream offerings that simultaneously delivered meaningful value to customers and bottom-line business results.

    Before joining Teladoc, Gorevic worked in various capacities at WellPoint, Inc., including senior vice president and chief marketing and product officer where he was responsible for developing WellPoint’s Growth Strategy to identify and prioritize opportunities for long term growth. In addition, he assumed the role of president for newly acquired Lumenos, Inc., and is credited with driving enterprise-wide adoption of its consumer-directed health plan, which subsequently became the company’s fastest growing product. He also created and led the Innovation Incubator that conceptualized and implemented a partnership with Zagat Survey to enable consumers to rate their physicians, and acted as the company’s spokesperson with top-tier media.

    While at WellPoint, Jason ran a $7 billion P&L, where he consistently exceeded enrollment and financial targets. He was also responsible for a provider contracting team that managed approximately 200 hospitals and 80,000 physicians representing $6.5 billion of medical spend. From 2002 to 2005, Gorevic was a key member of Empire BlueCross BlueShield’s leadership team that generated annual earnings per share growth of 15 to 20 percent resulting in a market cap growth of 300 percent from its 2002 IPO to the acquisition by WellPoint three years later.

    Gorevic is a health care visionary with deep roots. While at Oxford Health Plans, he designed, built, and managed a first-of-its-kind telephone medical advice service staffed by Registered Nurses to ensure appropriate utilization of health care resources. This model has now become the industry standard.

    Gorevic received a B.A. in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania. He is a two-time winner of the WellPoint Pinnacle Award for outstanding leadership and, at age 31, was named one of the 2003 Crain’s New York Business “40 Under 40″ top executives.

  • Richard Boxer, M.D.

    Chief Medical Officer

    Dr. Richard Boxer graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with honors from both the undergraduate and medical schools. He is a clinical professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine and a clinical professor in the Department of Health Policy at the Medical College of Wisconsin, and clinical professor at the Department of Surgery/Urology at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. He is also a Professor of Clinical Urology at the University of Miami. Florida.

    He has written over 40 scientific articles and chapters for books, won a national award for cancer research, was awarded a Presidential Citation from the American Urological Association for excellence in Urology, patented a medical device and has lectured around the world on treatment for cancer of the prostate gland and urinary tract.

    In 1997, Dr. Boxer was one of two finalists for the position of Surgeon General of the United States. In 2001 he was one of several finalists for Surgeon General during George W. Bush Administration (HHS Secretary Tommy Thompson). More than 150 national medical and consumer organizations and national leaders supported him. He was a Presidential Appointee to two Boards of the National Institutes of Health, serving for ten years. Dr. Boxer represented the United States at the World Health Organization.

    In September 1995, Dr. Boxer was diagnosed with malignant melanoma and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Four operations, three years of chemotherapy, and a bone marrow transplant cured the diseases, but also taught him about the other side of healthcare. Because of his personal understanding of giving and receiving cancer therapy, his personal experience with a disability, his understanding of health policy, and finally his political skills, he is able to see all aspects of the challenges and opportunities for healthcare in America.

  • Mike King

    Chief Sales Officer

    As chief sales officer for Teladoc, Michael King draws on his executive experience and consistent record of leading sales, account management, and marketing organizations to generate revenue, exceed sales goals, and expand market share for the company. A strong leader of people, who attracts, develops, mentors, and effectively manages team members to achieve their highest personal and professional results, Mr. King has more than 15 years of leadership and management experience built upon a strong foundation of educational credentials, high integrity, and exemplary business practices.

    Prior to joining Teladoc, King held various positions at Healthways, Inc. since 2001, and was most recently senior vice president for Innovation and Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. During his tenure, he was responsible for the creation, implementation, and execution of all sales business plans. His responsibilities for multi-channel sales strategies resulted in consistent revenue growth and expanded market share. In addition to sales operations, he also directed consultant relationship management, product marketing, and messaging.

    Over the years, he oversaw multiple sales and marketing programs at Caresteps.com, Wellpath Community Health Plans, Doctors Health Plan, and Aetna. With more than 15 years of leadership and management experience, King has earned a consummate reputation for integrity and excellent business practices. He earned a B.S. in Business and Management from Michigan State University and attended the General Managers Program at Harvard Business School.

  • Jeff Nadler

    Chief Technology Officer

    As chief technology officer, Jeffrey Nadler brings more than 20 years of senior management experience in the architecture, design, and delivery of information technology. His knowledge of the health care, financial services, and insurance industries is combined with expertise in building and managing high performing teams, managing executive level client relationships, and driving projects to success. He is both knowledgeable and experienced at developing enterprise scale, custom application platforms with proven scalability, performance, and reliability. And he has significant experience architecting and managing high performance web sites, very large relational database systems and real-time financial industry trading systems.

    Prior to joining Teladoc, Mr. Nadler served as chief technology officer for ActiveHealth Management, a leading vendor of products and services for the health care industry in the areas of disease management, wellness, personal health records, analytics, lifestyle coaching, UM/CM, and clinical decision support. Previously, he served as: senior vice president, Enterprise Technology Group, at Marsh and McLennan Companies; director and program manager at Cambridge Technology Partners; and CEO and founder of a corporation that specialized in text retrieval software and related products and services.

    Nadler received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Union College, Schenectady, N.Y. (1985).

  • Kevin Williamson

    Chief Marketing and Product Officer

    A highly accomplished marketing expert and product specialist, Williamson has served as Teladoc’s chief marketing and product officer since May 2009. He is a results-oriented, decisive leader with an impressive track record for designing and implementing effective strategies to strengthen brand identity and drive market penetration. He brings to Teladoc strategic expertise in client, partner, and consumer communication strategies, as well as experience with lead generation, customer acquisition, and retention initiatives that will be valuable in expanding the company’s market footprint. Williamson has a strong understanding of account dynamics, spanning consumer, senior, middle market, and national accounts.

    Before joining Teladoc, Williamson served as vice president of Clinical Innovation and Strategy-Health Management Corp. at WellPoint, Inc. In addition, he led a national marketing team to devise and execute enterprise marketing and account retention strategies for a 25,000-employer network with over 17 million members. He also engaged local sales teams to align market-specific tactics with organizational objectives for brand identity, and performed in-depth market analysis to identify business growth and improvement opportunities by way of member acquisition and retention programs.

    In 2001, he served as director of Web Product Strategy at Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield and was promoted to regional vice president of B2B and Senior Marketing. While at Ernst & Young and Icon Medialab, Williamson managed large accounts establishing and cultivating relationships with clients and prospects.

    Williamson earned a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering and Master of Science in Industrial Engineering with Health Systems Emphasis from Georgia Institute of Technology. He also served as a graduate research assistant at Emory University Hospital, Atlanta, GA.

  • Bill Giles

    B.S., CPA – Chief Financial Officer

    Giles is a Tatum Partner with over 25 years experience with Fortune 500, NASDAQ, and entrepreneurial companies. He has performed extensive work in financing and controlling the rapid growth of manufacturing, distribution, and high technology entities. His core competencies include accounting, finance, information systems development, mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning/business development, SEC reporting, debt, and equity financing.

    Giles secured $25 million in private equity funding from Technology Crossover Ventures for SolArc, a leading provider of supply and trade management software for global commodities companies. He restructured a highly leveraged manufacturer/distributor of printer imaging products with manufacturing locations in Missouri, Florida, and Texas by securing additional $3.5 million equity, renegotiated the bank loan, reduced inventory, and revised the business plan. He launched Direct Computer from inception and created a profitable $70 million annual sales company in the computer reseller/service business and sold to The Future Now. He created a detailed forecasting model, reviewed cash flow, and positioned for an IPO at Telecom Technologies, a leading supplier of ‘softswitch’ based solutions. During the engagement the company was successfully acquired by a NASDAQ company for an approximate total earnout price of $714 million.

  • Paul D. Squire, Esq.

    General Counsel

    Paul Squire

    As General Counsel for Teladoc, Paul brings his extensive legal experience in health care, insurance and corporate law to the Teladoc senior management team. Given both his law firm and in-house legal experience, Paul has a unique perspective in handling Teladoc’s legal matters and brings a problem solving, proactive approach to all matters that he handles for Teladoc.

    Prior to joining Teladoc, Paul was an Associate General Counsel at WellPoint where he supported various business units within the large managed care company. Paul was the lead Legal support for the multi-billion dollar PBM division of WellPoint, working closely with the PBM senior management team. In addition, Paul provided legal support for all aspects of PBM operations, including negotiating provider, vendor, customer and IT contracts, providing legal advice on compliance and regulatory matters, and rendered legal support in connection with the drug component of Medicare Advantage plans and Medicare Part D. Prior to its acquisition by WellPoint, Paul was the sole attorney within the Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield health plan, the Blue Cross Blue Shield plan for the greater New York City area, who was responsible for implementation of the Medicare Part D program, including providing analysis for various Medicare Part D programs such as Medicare Advantage, Prescription Drug Plans and employer subsidy programs.

    Prior to his tenure at WellPoint, Paul was a partner in the National Health Care Practice at Epstein Becker & Green, P.C., one of the pre-eminent health care law firms in the country. During his tenure at Epstein, Becker & Green, Paul represented various clients in the health care and insurance industry in connection with the purchase and acquisition of health care companies, preparing Form 10k and 10Q public disclosure reports for his clients as well as advising clients on Stark, anti-kickback, self-referral, fraud and abuse, and other health care regulatory issues.

    Paul received his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center while receiving his undergraduate degree from Haverford College where he graduated with high honors and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.

  • Dan Trencher

    Senior Vice President of Business Development

    Trencher joined the Teladoc team in the fall of 2011, bringing a decade of health care industry expertise and experience to his role as Senior Vice President of Business Development, where he is responsible for developing and executing new growth opportunities for Teladoc. He delivers a unique combination of analytically driven strategic insight, hands-on product and operational knowledge, and experience driving and executing new growth business initiatives across different customer segments (e.g., Commercial Group, Individual, Medicaid) and components of the health care value chain (e.g., providers, Disease Management/Wellness, HIT). His bias for action and ability to find compelling sources of value for partners will help Teladoc to smartly accelerate growth both within and outside its core business.

    Prior to joining Teladoc, Trencher served as vice president for Corporate Strategy at WellPoint, Inc. He led the senior management team in developing new strategies to profitably grow the company’s 34 million members and broad portfolio of businesses, while leading the development of the company’s strategic response to the 2010 Affordable Care Act, including the new health insurance Exchanges. In earlier roles with WellPoint, he also led market strategy and Specialty Dental and Vision lines for the $7.5B New York market, and led a product development team that drove 250% growth in strategic medical insurance products.

    Trencher also brings deep experience in management consulting, including positions with Booz & Co.’s Communications, Media, and Technology practice, and PriceWaterhouseCoopers. He earned his BA in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, and his MBA from the University of Chicago in 1998.
