The cost of a TelaDoc consult is $38 or less, depending on your plan design.
Do I talk to "real doctors"?
Yes. TelaDoc members only talk to actual physicians who are board-certified internists, family practitioners, pediatricians and urgent care doctors licensed to practice medicine in the US and living in the US. When you request a consult, TelaDoc will connect you with a physician licensed in the state where you are at that time. Learn more about our doctors.

TelaDoc is designed to handle day-to-day routine medical problems. You should NOT use it if you are experiencing a medical emergency. However, there have been past cases where TelaDoc has been able to diagnose a problem that was life threatening and urged the patient to proceed immediately to emergency facilities, thus saving the patient's life or reducing long-term consequences of the illness.
Can I speak with a specialist?
You cannot request to speak with a specialist directly, but our physicians may be able to provide guidance on the type of specialist you should see.
