Tell us a little about yourself.

I am originally from New Jersey but have been in the South since 1999. This year marks my 18th wedding anniversary. I have two kids, ages 13 and 11. I owned my own practice in Franklin, TN for 10 years but now work for an Federally Qualified Health Center in Lancaster, SC while living in Waxhaw, NC.

What is your specialty and what made you choose it?

I am a Family Practitioner. I love the fact that I see all ages, from cradle to grave, and every day is different. There is never a “typical” day.

What do you love most about what you do?

I love helping people. I know that sounds cliché, but that’s why I went into medicine and am still enjoying it today.

Where did you go to school?

Undergrad: SUNY Binghamton in upstate NY
Med school: American University of the Caribbean, Montserrat, BWI
Residency: University of Alabama at Birmingham

What is one piece of advice you would like to give to Teladoc members?

Understand that if you don’t get what you think you need, it isn’t because the physician is in a bad mood or doesn’t like you. It is because we are doing what is best for you and don’t want to hurt you. Antibiotics can hurt if given when not needed.
