Primary360 offers convenient access to high-quality primary care that revolves around you—your lifestyle, your needs and your health. It starts by selecting a primary care physician and building an ongoing relationship with a dedicated Care Team that gets to know you as a person, not just another patient. From the annual check-up and ongoing wellness needs to managing chronic conditions and more complex challenges, members have access to trusted medical care and personalized support.
Eligible adults—ages 18 years and older—can use Primary360. Primary360 is ideal for those who don’t currently have a primary care provider or those who see their in-person primary care provider less often than they should.
Teladoc primary care physicians are board-certified in family practice, internal medicine, and related specialties and have specific experience building relationships with patients in a primary care setting. You will also have access to an experienced Care Team of registered nurses, medical assistants and Care Coordinators who provide additional support and coordinate collaborative care throughout your care journey.
In this first appointment, expect to spend 30-45 minutes with your chosen primary care physician discussing your family and personal medical history, risk factors, medications and health challenges. Together, you and your primary care physician will define health goals and identify the tools needed to succeed. As a follow up, relevant lab or diagnostic tests may be needed. Your Care Team can help schedule these services, and test results will be presented on your Teladoc Care Team messages page. Your primary care physician will follow up to discuss results after testing is complete. After your visit, your primary care physician and Care Team will create a personalized care plan that will always be accessible through your Teladoc account.
As often as you would like! Primary360 enables you to reach out to your Care Team with no limits or additional fees. You are your Care Team’s highest priority and can expect to receive a response within eight business hours or less.
Your primary care visits meet the recommended guidelines for a preventive visit from the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force. Prior to your visit, your primary care physician will review the information provided through the Primary360 assessment and during the visit will check your blood pressure (recorded from the blood pressure cuff that will be sent to you once your appointment is scheduled), assess your body mass index by reviewing your height and weight, and have an in-depth discussion about your family and personal medical history to make sure you are in good health. Video visits are preferred, and you will also have the ability to upload images of anything you’d like the doctor to specifically look at. Your primary care physician will order labs and radiology as clinically appropriate and your dedicated Care Team will work with you to find an in-network lab or specialist.
Your primary care physician can order lab work, imaging studies, referrals, vaccinations and even devices that allow remote monitoring. Your Care Team will assist you in connecting to an in-network laboratory or facility of your choice, and your primary care physician will follow up to discuss the results after testing or imaging is complete.
Yes. Our primary care physicians can start new medications as clinically necessary and appropriate and can prescribe refills for maintenance medications for a full year. We do not prescribe opioids, narcotics and other DEA-controlled substances.
Yes, at any time members can upload medical records, immunization records and lab results as well as other member-reported data, such as device data, into the Teladoc mobile app or web for review by their Teladoc primary care physician.
If your primary care physician is on vacation or unavailable, you will still have access to your Care Team to help answer any questions you may have. If you need to see a primary care physician during this time, you can always request a visit with another care physician licensed in your state.
If you are sick and in need of care right away, you can request a General Medical visit to talk to a doctor 24/7 for non-emergency conditions like cold and flu, sinus infections, allergies and more.
Yes, in those instances patients are still obligated to pay the physician consultation fee.
We do not turn patients away because of pre-existing conditions. However, our platform is intended for episodic care when in-person care is unavailable.
